The TG LAWCET & PGLCET 2026 (Telangana Law Common Entrance Test and Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test) are the essential exams for candidates aspiring to pursue 3-year LLB, 5-year integrated LLB, or LLM programs in Telangana. Managed by Osmania University on behalf of the TGCHE, these tests evaluate legal aptitude and general awareness.

3. Detailed Syllabus & Sectional Weightage

The syllabus differs significantly between the undergraduate (LAWCET) and postgraduate (PGLCET) levels.

A. TG LAWCET (3-Year & 5-Year LLB)

  • Part-A: General Knowledge & Mental Ability (30 Questions): History, Geography, Economics, and logical reasoning.

  • Part-B: Current Affairs (30 Questions): National and international events of the last year.

  • Part-C: Aptitude for the Study of Law (60 Questions): Legal principles, Indian Constitution, and basic legal terminology. (Highest Weightage: 50%).

B. TG PGLCET (LLM)

  • Part-A (40 Questions): Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law.

  • Part-B (80 Questions): Public International Law, Mercantile Law, Labour Law, Crimes and Torts, and IPR.

4. Previous Year Cut-offs & Qualifying Marks

Admission to top law colleges like Osmania University (Campus) or Padala Rama Reddy Law College requires a high rank.
