OSSSC CRE 2026: 4768 Vacancies Out

The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has officially released the detailed notification for the Combined Recruitment Examination (CRE) 2025–26. This major recruitment drive aims to fill 4,768 vacancies across two major notifications, including popular posts like Revenue Inspector (RI), Forest Guard, Amin, and ICDS Supervisor.

OSSSC CRE 2026: Vacancy Breakdown

The vacancies are distributed across two official advertisements. The first (Advt. No. 3198) covers clerical and revenue posts, while the second (Advt. No. 3220) focuses on field and technical roles.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility varies significantly by post, ranging from Class 10th to Graduate levels.

  • Forest Guard: Must have passed High School Certificate (10th) or equivalent.

  • Forester / SFS / Excise Constable: Must have passed +2 (12th) or equivalent.

  • Revenue Inspector (RI) / ICDS Supervisor: Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce.

  • Junior Assistant (JA) / ARI / Amin: Typically requires +2/Intermediate along with basic knowledge of computer applications.

  • Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025): Generally 18 to 38 years for Forest Guard/Forester, and 20 to 42 years for RI/ARI/Amin posts.

  • Notification Release Date: 30 December 2025.

  • Online Registration Start Date: 07 January 2026.

  • Registration Last Date: 31 January 2026.

  • Last Date for Online Application Submission: 07 February 2026.

Selection Process

The selection process is multi-staged and depends on the post applied for.

  1. Written Test (MCQ Based): Covers subjects like Mathematics, General Knowledge, English, Odia Language, and Computer Knowledge.

  2. Physical Standard & Efficiency Test (PMT/PET): Mandatory for Forest Guard, Forester, and Excise Constable posts.

    • Male (UR/SEBC/SC): 168 cm Height; 25 km walk in 4 hours.

    • Female: 153 cm Height; 16 km walk in 4 hours.

  3. Practical Skill Test: For posts requiring computer knowledge (Qualifying in nature).

  4. Document Verification: For final shortlisting.

  2. Complete Online Registration/Re-registration starting from January 7, 2026.

  3. Fill out the application form with accurate personal and educational details.
