The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has officially released the CEPTAM 11 recruitment notification for 2025-26. This is a premier opportunity for technical aspirants to join the technical cadre (DRTC) of India's leading defence research body.

Vacancy & Salary Structure

A total of 764 vacancies have been announced across two major technical categories.

  • Total In-hand Salary: Including DA, HRA, and other allowances, the starting in-hand salary for STA-B is approx. ₹48,000 - ₹56,000, and for Technician-A, it is approx. ₹28,800 - ₹32,000.

Eligibility Criteria (as of 01.01.2026)

  • Age Limit: 18 to 28 Years. (Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST).

  • Educational Qualifications:

    • STA-B: Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc.) OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering /Technology from a recognized institute in relevant disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, CS, etc.).

    • Technician-A: 10th Class (Matriculation) pass AND ITI Certificate in relevant trade (Fitter, Electrician, COPA, Welder, Machinist, etc.).

Selection Process

The selection involves a rigorous screening and final selection test.

For STA-B:

  1. Tier-I (Screening): Computer Based Test (CBT) covering Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, English, and General Science.

  2. Tier-II (Selection): Subject-specific CBT based on the chosen discipline.

For Technician-A:

  1. Tier-I (Selection): CBT consisting of Section A (Aptitude/Reasoning/GK/English) and Section B (Subject specific to trade).

  2. Tier-II (Trade Test): Practical test of hands-on skills in the relevant ITI trade (Qualifying in nature).

Application Fee

The fee structure includes a refundable component (after Tier I) and a non-refundable component.

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹750 (STA-B) | ₹600 (Tech-A).

  • SC/ST/PwBD/Women: ₹500 (Fully refundable after appearing in Tier I).

  2. Go to Careers > CEPTAM-11 advertisement.

  3. Register with your email and mobile number to generate a User ID.

  4. Fill in personal and academic details, and upload your live photo and signature.
