Eligibility & Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board by 1 January 2026.

  • Age Limit: 18 – 23 years as of 1 January 2026.

    • Born between: 02-01-2003 and 01-01-2008.

    • Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years) as per rules.

  • Application Fee: ₹100/- (General/OBC/EWS). Exempted for SC, ST, ESM, and all Female candidates.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection follows a 4-stage process: CBT → PET/PST → Medical Exam → Document Verification.

1. Computer-Based Examination (CBT)

  • Total Questions: 80 MCQs | Total Marks: 160 | Duration: 60 Minutes.

  • Marking: +2 for Correct, -0.25 for Incorrect.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

3. Physical Standard Test (PST)

  • Height: Male (170 cm) | Female (157 cm).

  • Chest (Male only): 80 cm (unexpanded) with 5 cm minimum expansion.

Salary Structure (Pay Level-3)

A newly appointed GD Constable enjoys competitive pay and excellent allowances.

  • Basic Pay: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100.

  • Starting Gross Salary: Approx. ₹35,000 – ₹42,000 (depending on the city of posting).

  • Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), Ration Money, and Hardship/Risk Allowance (for field postings).
