Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:

  • 10th Standard Pass: Must have passed Secondary School Examination with passing marks in Mathematics and English.

  • Local Language: Compulsory knowledge of the local language of the applied circle (must have studied it up to 10th standard).

• Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of Cycling is mandatory.

  • Basic Computer Knowledge is preferred.

• Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026):

  • General: 18 to 40 years.

  • Relaxation: 3 years for OBC; 5 years for SC/ST; 10 years for PwD.

Salary Structure (TRCA)

India Post provides a Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) for GDS employees:

• BPM: ₹12,000 to ₹29,380 per month.

• ABPM / Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 to ₹24,470 per month.

Selection Process

The selection is Direct Merit-Based:

1. Automatic Merit Generation: Candidates are shortlisted based on their 10th Class Marks (percentage calculated up to 4 decimal points).

2. No Written Exam: There is no competitive exam or interview.

3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original certificates for verification at the designated divisional office.
