RRB Ministerial & Isolated Categories Recruitment 2025: 312 Vacancies Out!

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced the Ministerial & Isolated (MI) Categories Recruitment 2025 (CEN 03/2024). This recruitment drive is a prime opportunity for candidates with qualifications ranging from 12th pass to Post-Graduation to join Indian Railways in specialized roles.

Indian Railways is inviting online applications for 312 posts under the Ministerial & Isolated categories. These roles include Stenographers, Teachers, Translators, and other specialized administrative staff across various RRB zones.

Important Dates & Schedule

  • Detailed Notification Release: 27 December 2025

  • Online Application Starts: 28 December 2025

Eligibility Criteria (Post-Wise)

  • Junior Stenographer: 12th Pass + Shorthand speed (80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes).

  • Junior Translator: Post-Graduate Degree in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a main subject.

  • Staff & Welfare Inspector: Graduation + Diploma in Labour Welfare/Social Work/HR.

  • Chief Law Assistant: Degree in Law (LLB) + 3 years experience as a practicing Lawyer.

  • Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026): * General: 18 – 45 years (varies by post).

    • Relaxations: OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), PwBD (10 years).

Selection Process

The selection involves a rigorous evaluation of both general knowledge and professional skills:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 Objective type questions covering Professional Knowledge, GK, Math, and Reasoning.

  2. Skill Test / Translation Test: For posts like Stenographers and Translators (Qualifying in nature).

  3. Document Verification: Checking of original certificates and testimonials.

  4. Medical Examination: Ensuring fitness for railway service standards.

  • General / OBC / EWS: ₹500/- (₹400 refundable after appearing in CBT).

  • SC / ST / PwBD / Female / Ex-SM: ₹250/- (Full amount refundable after appearing in CBT).
