The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has officially extended the application deadline and increased the total number of vacancies to 207 for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) positions.
This is a major update for engineering diploma and degree holders in Punjab. The board has revised the recruitment schedule to allow more candidates to apply for the increased number of posts.

Educational Qualification:
JE (Civil): Three-year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
JE (Mechanical/Electrical): Three-year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Mandatory: Candidates must have passed Punjabi at the Matriculation (10th) level or its equivalent.
Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025):
General: 18 to 37 years.
SC/BC (Punjab): 18 to 42 years.
Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per Punjab Govt. rules.
Selected candidates will be placed in the following pay scale as per the 7th CPC:
Initial Pay: ₹35,400 per month (Level 6).
During the probation period, only the "Minimum Pay" will be admissible without any additional allowances.
Written Examination (CBT/OMR): An objective-type test covering subject-specific topics and general aptitude.
Part A: Punjabi Language (Qualifying nature).
Part B: Subject domain, GK, Reasoning, and Mental Ability.
Document Verification: For candidates clearing the written exam.
Final Merit List: Based solely on the marks obtained in the written exam.

OBC/SC/ST: 750
EWS/Ex-Serviceman/PWD/LDE SM of Punjab State only: 500
